Over the span of seven years, Stephen David has established a bustling production and post-production company that has seen a meteoric rise and yearly growth. Launched in 2010, Stephen David Entertainment (SDE) – a Banijay Group Company – has emerged as a leader in high-end television production. In 2012, David ushered in a new TV genre, the “hybrid” docu-series, with SDE’s The Men Who Built America (History), which went on to win two Primetime Emmy® Awards with five total nominations. At the start of 2015, SDE premiered the scripted TV mini-series, Sons of Liberty (History), for which David received a WGA Award nomination. Currently, David and SDE are in production on a number of high-profile projects. Their most recent productions include a partnership with Hugh Hefner and Playboy, American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story (Amazon), and the recently, SDE announced, Frontiersmen (History), which will be executive produced with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Tim W. Kelly is an Emmy Award winning producer and editor with nearly two decades of experience working in every genre of television, from scripted, docu-series and specials, to reality, sports, cooking, documentary, news magazine, promos and even commercials. Kelly has been with SDE since the beginning and has worked on all SDE projects, most recently serving as Executive Producer on Roman Empire: Reign of Blood (Netflix) and Making of the Mob: Chicago (AMC), and Co-Executive Producer on American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story (Amazon). His other credits with SDE include Sons of Liberty (History), The Men Who Built America (History), The World Wars (History), and more. Before joining the team at SDE, he worked on a number of shows, including Wife Swap (ABC), and Extra (NBC).
Rob Forella serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Stephen David Entertainment. With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment/television industry, Rob oversees all the accounting and finance related activities of the company. Prior to joining Stephen David Entertainment in May 2016, Rob was previously the Vice President of Finance at MTV where he spent five years leading the financial oversight of the group. He also held other finance positions with Viacom for 15 years, spanning various divisions and networks including MTV, VH1 and CMT.
Jeanette Peret joined SDE in 2016, bringing with her over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Jeanette began her career as a senior auditor in public accounting at Deloitte, and subsequently worked as Senior Director and Controller for ADP, a Fortune 500 company, where she managed a $400 million lease portfolio.
Ethrina Reyes joined SDE in 2017, bringing a unique mix of Production Management and Finance to the company. Ethrina started her career as a Production Coordinator at FOX Family in Los Angeles, and eventually made her way to New York. In 2003 she joined MTV Networks in a hybrid Production Coordinator/Accountant role, working with the Events and Music & Talent Development departments. In 2006, she moved to The Rachael Ray Show as the Business Manager, and in 2007, Ethrina returned to Production as a freelancer, working on events and series for MTV, VH1, BET, YouTube, and Sunset Lane Entertainment. In 2015, Ethrina began consulting for iHeartMedia’s Entertainment division to bridge the gap between Finance and Production while overseeing the 3rd Party production companies.
Carter Figueroa is a seasoned producer with more than 15 years of experience creating content across a variety of genres. Since joining SDE, Figueroa has worked across SDE’s productions, including Roman Empire: Reign of Blood (Netflix), The Making of the Mob: Chicago (AMC), The American West (AMC), and NASCAR: The Rise of American Speed. Prior to working at SDE, Figueroa served as an Executive Producer at the Discovery Channel, overseeing multiple series, including the launch and first two seasons of one of the network’s top rated shows, Alaskan Bush People. Prior to Discovery Channel, he was a Senior Producer at the History Channel and worked on such shows as Top Gear USA, America’s Secret Slang, Stan Lee’s Superhumans and the Emmy Award winning special Gettysburg, as well as many short films and digital content.
Jonathan Soule joined SDE in 2012, serving as lead editor on the groundbreaking series The Men Who Built America for History, and winning an Emmy for its sound editing. Since then, he has served as lead editor and Co-Producer/Supervising Producer on all of SDE’s signature documentaries, including The World Wars for History, which brought him another Emmy nomination, as well as American Genius for NatGeo, The Making of The Mob and The American West for AMC, and most recently American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story for Amazon Studios. In 2014, Soule served as editor on SDE’s award-winning scripted mini-series, Sons of Liberty, starring Westworld’s Ben Barnes and Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris.
Jordan Rosenblum is an Emmy-nominated writer and producer who has been with SDE since 2013. Over the course of the last 4 years, Jordan has worked across all SDE productions in both development, and as a writer. Most recently, Jordan served as writer and co-producer on The American West (AMC), and as a writer on Roman Empire: Reign of Blood (Netflix) and The Making of the Mob: Chicago (AMC). Previously, Jordan was on the writing staff on Sons of Liberty (History), which was nominated for a WGA Award. Prior to joining the company, Jordan worked in development at Left/Right TV and received his MFA in screenwriting from the American Film Institute, where he was nominated for a Humanitas Award for his writing. While at AFI, Jordan also worked in the writer’s room at Mad Men.
Since joining the company in 2013, Zach Herrmann has worked across SDE’s slate of productions, both in development and as a writer. Most recently, Zach served as writer and co-producer on The American West (AMC), and as a writer on Roman Empire: Reign of Blood (Netflix) and The Making of the Mob: Chicago (AMC). Previously , Zach was on the writing staff on Sons of Liberty (History), which was nominated for a WGA Award. Before coming to SDE, Zach worked at the talent agency Don Buchwald and Associates. His short film Elijah the Prophet was the winner of the 2010-11 Canadian Short Screenplay Competition, and the film has since screened at festivals around the world.
In early 2017, Kelsie Collins moved to the United States and joined SDE as a Production Coordinator, working across a number of SDE’s productions. Prior to joining SDE, Kelsie worked in television production in New Zealand. Most notably, she was a member of the production team on Screentime New Zealand’s Police Ten 7, New Zealand’s longest running, highest-rated non-scripted program.
