Over the span of seven years, Stephen David has established a bustling production and post-production company that has seen a meteoric rise and yearly growth. Launched in 2010, Stephen David Entertainment (SDE) – a Banijay Group Company – has emerged as a leader in high-end television production. In 2012, David ushered in a new TV genre, the “hybrid” docu-series, with SDE’s The Men Who Built America (History), which went on to win two Primetime Emmy® Awards with five total nominations. At the start of 2015, SDE premiered the scripted TV mini-series, Sons of Liberty (History), for which David received a WGA Award nomination. Currently, David and SDE are in production on a number of high-profile projects. Their most recent productions include a partnership with Hugh Hefner and Playboy, American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story (Amazon), and the recently, SDE announced, Frontiersmen (History), which will be executive produced with Leonardo DiCaprio.
Tim W. Kelly is an Emmy Award winning producer and editor with nearly two decades of experience working in every genre of television, from scripted, docu-series and specials, to reality, sports, cooking, documentary, news magazine, promos and even commercials. Kelly has been with SDE since the beginning and has worked on all SDE projects, most recently serving as Executive Producer on Roman Empire: Reign of Blood (Netflix) and Making of the Mob: Chicago (AMC), and Co-Executive Producer on American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story (Amazon). His other credits with SDE include Sons of Liberty (History), The Men Who Built America (History), The World Wars (History), and more. Before joining the team at SDE, he worked on a number of shows, including Wife Swap (ABC), and Extra (NBC).
Director and executive producer Tony Biancosino is a pork roll-loving New Jersey native with over thirteen years of experience in television. Starting in music videos, he moved into reality TV producing and directing shows like Saving Alaska and Man V. Food, and then late night talk shows. As a show runner, he most recently worked on Don’t Be Tardy, It’s All Relative with Leah Remini, Town of the Living Dead and Trashformers. Tony has a forged a career as a developer, taking shows from concept to series for Discovery, Lifetime, MTV, TLC, National Geographic and more. Most recently Tony was the SVP at Original Media, and then Truly Original, where he oversaw the development and casting teams across both brands. He lives in Brooklyn with Leslie, his brilliant writer girlfriend, and her evil cat, Kitty.
Rob Forella serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Stephen David Entertainment. With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment/television industry, Rob oversees all the accounting and finance related activities of the company. Prior to joining Stephen David Entertainment in May 2016, Rob was previously the Vice President of Finance at MTV where he spent five years leading the financial oversight of the group. He also held other finance positions with Viacom for 15 years, spanning various divisions and networks including MTV, VH1 and CMT.
Jeanette Peret joined SDE in 2016, bringing with her over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Jeanette began her career as a senior auditor in public accounting at Deloitte, and subsequently worked as Senior Director and Controller for ADP, a Fortune 500 company, where she managed a $400 million lease portfolio.
Jonathan Soule joined SDE in 2012, serving as lead editor on the groundbreaking series The Men Who Built America for History, and winning an Emmy for its sound editing. Since then, he has served as lead editor and Co-Producer/Supervising Producer on all of SDE’s signature documentaries, including The World Wars for History, which brought him another Emmy nomination, as well as American Genius for NatGeo, The Making of The Mob and The American West for AMC, and most recently American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story for Amazon Studios. In 2014, Soule served as editor on SDE’s award-winning scripted mini-series, Sons of Liberty, starring Westworld’s Ben Barnes and Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris.
In early 2017, Kelsie Collins moved to the United States and joined SDE as a Production Coordinator, working across a number of SDE’s productions. Prior to joining SDE, Kelsie worked in television production in New Zealand. Most notably, she was a member of the production team on Screentime New Zealand’s Police Ten 7, New Zealand’s longest running, highest-rated non-scripted program.
